Help a Child of Conflict through World Vision

June 27, 2012
Around the world conflict impacts millions of children -- they are orphaned, impoverished, forced into warfare and into slavery. But you can help. World Vision provides programs to help these children transition back into society and back into their families when possible.

Your monthly gift of $20 can help one child after another escape a life of horror.

Each month, you'll help provide critical care for children and communities terrorized by war and conflict in places like Colombia, Rwanda, Sudan and Uganda. Your support will meet urgent needs such as:

  • Trauma counseling and rehabilitation
  • Access to clean water, nutritious food, and health care
  • Protection and support for children living alone
  • Peacebuilding activities to help foster conflict resolution
  • Advocacy programs to prevent the abduction of children into armed conflict

You'll also help ensure children are reunited with their parents, whenever possible, following their rehabilitation.

Together we can help save these vulnerable children, one by one.

    Mission Italy

    September 9, 2011
In October we will travel to Italy with IAFR (International Association for Refugees) to visit with several ministries and churches who work with refugees. This is a vision trip to help us discern how God is calling us and others to help. We know that God calls us into community on this mission. As a body, we all have our part and we cannot do this alone. We ask you to pray and discern your part. Visit the Support the Mission page for details.

    September 8, 2011

The Need:  Few churches in Kakuma refugee camp (Kenya) have access to more than a handful of Bibles.

The Goal:  One Bible per refugee household. We will initially focus the project on the needs in Kakuma refugee camp and later expand the project to assist refugee churches in other locations.

The Strategy:  IAFR is asking Christian households to gift a Bible to a refugee household. The Bible will strengthen their faith. The gift will let them know that they are not forgotten by the ch...

International Association for Refugees: Connecting the Global Church

    September 8, 2011
IAFR was established in 2009 in response to the need for an international Christian non-profit to help the church at large join hands with refugee churches to improve the lives of forcibly displaced people.

Refugee churches can often be found in refugee camps and asylum centers. Against all odds, these churches are often found to not only be caring for their own - but also reaching out to other refugees and even into communities within their host country.
