International Association for Refugees: Connecting the Global Church

Posted by Kaylee K on Thursday, September 8, 2011 Under: Global Ministry
IAFR was established in 2009 in response to the need for an international Christian non-profit to help the church at large join hands with refugee churches to improve the lives of forcibly displaced people.

Refugee churches can often be found in refugee camps and asylum centers. Against all odds, these churches are often found to not only be caring for their own - but also reaching out to other refugees and even into communities within their host country.

IAFR Founder and President, Tom Albinson, has served among refugees full-time since 1981 and brings a wealth of experience, understanding and relationships to the work of IAFR. Click here to learn more about Tom.

IAFR resources are used by churches and practitioners all over the world to raise awareness, train and equip people for service among the forcibly displaced. To support their efforts, visit http://www.iafr.org./donate.htm
