Support the Mission

We know that God calls us into community on this mission. As a body, we all have our part and we cannot do this alone. We ask you to pray and discern your part.

The needs include:

-Prayer support: As God continues to lead and shape us on this journey, we greatly appreciate prayers that we discern well and that the resources needed are provided. Additionally, we'd greatly appreciate if you'd join us in prayer for refugees at all stops along the highway, as well as the ministries that seek to assist, encourage and love them along the way. Will you pray with us and for us? Please contact us to be added to the prayer list and visit our blog for updates.

-Financial support: Currently our fundraising efforts will focus on travel provisions for the upcoming Refugee Highway Roundtable that will take place in Europe in January. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the current refugee situation in Europe and meet with ministries that are responding to the needs. We also hope to spend some time in Malta with the new IAFR ministry leaders there and potentially with friends serving in RefMin in England as well.

The initial goal is $5,000. Funds raised beyond our travel needs will be donated to IAFR for their refugee ministry work. Will you join us in this with a tax-deductible donation?

  • You can  donate online but must select the option "Designate your gift" on the Review Donation page (before you hit "submit"). Designate to: "Kolditz Vision Trip". ***If you do not do so, the donation will go into the general IAFR account (email us if this happens and we'll straighten out).
  • You may also send a check with "Kolditz Vision Trip" in the memo line to: IAFR, P.O. Box 47947, Minneapolis, MN  55447

-Team building: We trust that God intends to raise up harvesters (Matt 9:37-38) for the field that is Italy. We ask Him to begin to prepare the hearts of those who will serve with us. Please pray about this opportunity – both short-term and long-term – and contact us if you want to learn how to prepare.

We have a lot to learn about the refugee situation in Italy. We’ve come across several articles that highlight the challenges and are posting on our news page.

Our goal is to come back full of stories not only of need but also of the hope and the work that the Church is doing. Ultimately, we seek to share a vision of the difference we, together, can make.
